Who is responsible?

Regelmapje is the data controller for personal data processed through this website.

What data do we process, and why?

  • Contact by email. If you email us, we process your email address, your name (if you give it) and the content of your message so that we can answer your question. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in answering questions, or the performance of the contract if it concerns a purchase.
  • Purchase and payment via Gumroad. You buy and pay for our products via Gumroad. Gumroad is itself responsible for payment, VAT and fraud prevention; for details, please see the Gumroad privacy policy. For storing and delivering the files, keeping our customer records and sending emails on our behalf, Gumroad acts as our processor under a data processing agreement. Gumroad passes on to us the data we need for delivery and any customer support, such as your name, email address and the product you bought. Legal basis: performance of the contract and legal (tax) obligations.
  • Chat on this website. The chat runs entirely in your browser and only replies with pre-written answers. Nothing is stored or sent, and no outside service is involved.

This website does not set any cookies or use any trackers.

The folder finder on this website runs entirely in your browser; your answers are not stored or sent anywhere.

Processors and transfers outside the EU

  • Email is handled through a Google Gmail account, so your emails to us are kept in that mailbox.
  • Gumroad is our processor for storing and delivering the files, our customer records and emails sent on our behalf, and is itself responsible for payment, VAT and fraud prevention (see above).
  • here.now hosts this website. Each time you visit, the hosting provider processes technical data such as your IP address in order to display the website and keep it secure. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in a working and secure website. The hosting provider is our processor.

Gumroad is based in the United States and also processes data there. This transfer is based on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses (Decision 2021/914), which are included in its data processing agreement. You can request a copy by emailing regelmapje@gmail.com.

How long do we keep data?

  • Purchase records: 7 years, because Dutch tax law requires us to keep them (Article 52 of the Algemene wet inzake rijksbelastingen, the Dutch General State Taxes Act).
  • Email correspondence: 2 years after our last contact, so that we can deal properly with questions, follow-up and goodwill requests. After that, the messages are deleted.

Your rights

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) you have the right to access, correct or delete your data, to restrict or object to its processing, and to data portability. If you have given consent, you can withdraw it at any time; this does not affect any processing carried out before you withdrew it. Please send your request to regelmapje@gmail.com; we will respond within one month.

Making a complaint

If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can make a complaint to the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens). We would appreciate it if you contacted us first.
